Flat image in.
Layered file out.
Click the objects. Layersmith separates them, fills in the background behind them, names the layers, cleans the edges — and hands you a file that actually works. Made it in ChatGPT, Midjourney or Firefly? Drop the PNG here and get it back as real layers.
IN THE BACKGROUND every upload is a button you pressed · no watermarks ever
02 · why it's different
Named layers and groups, written directly — opens in Photoshop, Photopea, Affinity, GIMP, and Krita. Plus .ora and PNG stacks for the open-source crowd.
Lift an object and the hole behind it is filled in, so every layer is independently movable. No Swiss cheese.
Click-to-grab AI, edge cleanup, and the file writers all run in your browser. Nothing uploads unless you press a button that says so — and where a tool offers a server engine, the chooser sits under the button and says which one is on.
03 · what's in the editor
Not one button. An editor.
One click does the whole picture. When it needs a human, there is a real editor underneath — not a settings panel. Everything marked free is free without an account, and everything marked in your browser runs on your own machine and never uploads your image.
Split into layers
One click separates the whole picture. An object detector finds what it can name and every find is cut onto its own layer with the background rebuilt behind it; a second, open-vocabulary pass runs behind it and adds anything it catches that arrives while you are still choosing. Up to 40 objects — fewer on a phone, or on a very large picture, because every lifted object is a full-size layer the device has to hold. A landscape with no objects to find is split by colour region instead, free.
from 1 credit · the whole image in one passRemove
Take out one thing, every person, or the background — and have what was behind it rebuilt rather than left as a hole. Background removal is free either way: sharper on our server, or entirely in your browser, chosen under the button.

Click-to-grab AI, magic wand, lasso, brush and eraser, rectangle and ellipse. Grow, shrink, invert, and an undo that steps back one grab at a time instead of starting over.
free · in your browserCut
Lift to a new layer or copy, add a missed piece to a layer you already cut, move it, and let the edge cleanup shave, feather and strip the colour fringe the old background left behind.

Three engines, picked by measuring the texture around the cut. Sky and gradients are rebuilt free on your machine with no ghost; photographic texture goes to the server; structured detail goes to the HD engine.
free, or from 2 creditsEnlarge
A logo that arrived too small for the job. Flat artwork is enlarged in your browser — nothing uploads, and the colours stay exactly as flat as they went in. Photographs go to an AI that rebuilds real texture rather than stretching pixels.

Find the lines, lift them into real editable type in a close-matched face, and erase the originals in place. Retype the words right here — the change follows into the PSD.

Spot and index separation with human-readable ink names, merge and rename screens, proof over the garment colour. Then a print-ready render: halftones, choke, dot gain, underbase, registration marks.
